25th anniversary of the restored independence of Lithuania commemorated in China

Almost 200 guests attended the commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the restored Lithuania’s Independence on 11th of March. H. E. Mr. Wang Chao, Vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China, also attended the event and congratulated people of Lithuania upon this special occasion.

H. E. Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in People‘s Republic of China, Mrs. Lina Antanavičienė, expressed her satisfaction on the progress Lithuania made in last 25 years and underlined that freedom is not given, one has to work hard to achieve and to maintain it.

On this occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in cooperation with Shandong Province government are organizing "Lithuanian days" in Jinan-capital of Shandong province next week. Series of events will include photography exhibition "Unseen Lithuania", commercial promotion event and presentation of the tourism sector.

The 25th Anniversary of the restored Lithuania’s Independence was also commemorated in Hong Kong, where the Honorary Consul of Lithuania Mr. Raj Sital Motwani invited local Lithuanian community and friends of Lithuania to celebrate this special occasion together.
