China is ready to harness the potential of bilateral economic cooperation

Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mr Rolandas Kriščiūnas is visiting China this week where he held a meeting on Tuesday with Mr Liu Haixing, Director-General of Department of European Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, to discuss future strenthening of cooperation between Lithuania and China. Mr Kriščiūnas expressed his hopes that China‘s market will soon open for Lithuania‘s agriculture sector. According to Mr Liu, China is willing to enlarge cooperation in transport, logistics and high technology sectors.

H. E. Mr Wei Ruixing, newly-appointed Ambassador of People‘s Republic of China to Lithuania, also attended the meeting and committed do his best to promote the cooperation between two countries.

After the meeting, Vice-Minister left to Shandong Province, where he is going to attend series of events, dedicated to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the restored independence of Lithuania.
