Chinese tour operators: Lithuania offers what we don’t have - calm, nature, good food
Seven tour operators from China who paid a visit to Lithuania at the invitation of the Lithuania's State Department of Tourism say that they have discovered a new and highly potential tourism direction in Lithuania.
"Chinese people are tired from large cities and huge crowds of people; therefore, they would definitely appreciate Lithuania's nature, small towns and peacefulness, friendly environment and very high quality services. Moreover, you have very interesting and delicious cuisine, both national and European," said Xue Bai, manager of the Chinese tour operator Beijing Global Tour International, who visited Lithuania for the first time ever.
Representatives of the Chinese tourism market from such tour operators as UTour World, Beijing Good View Holiday, H.J.J.H. Business Travel International and HhTravel also took part in the Business Contact Fair in Vilnius on December 10. They discussed cooperation possibilities with 30 local and incoming tourism operators, organisers of conferences and events, representatives of hotels.
Chinese guests also visited UNECO herritage Vilnius Old Town, one of the most beautiful European castles in Trakai and Pazaislis monastery in Kaunas city.
The number of Chinese tourists in Lithuania has been growing recently. The latest figures of the first 9 months of this year show that Lithuania this year was visited by nearly 10% more Chinese tourists than in the same period a year ago.
