Day of Baltic Unity celebrated in Beijing

On the 22nd September 2014, the Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian communities in China, invited by their embassies, celebrated the Baltic Unity Day. The event aimed at bringing together the expats of the Baltic States, living in China, promoting friendship between these communities and the importance of their traditions.    More than one hundred Lithuanians, Latvians, and Estonians participated in the meeting, which was held in the newly opened premises of the Estonian Embassy. The official delegations of the Ministries of Education of the Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, which were present in Beijing on occasion of a meeting within the framework of cooperation between Central-Eastern Europe (CEE) and China in Tianjin, also attended the gathering. The ambassadors of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and their communities, and also the guest ambassadors of Moldova and Georgia expressed governmental and public support for Ukraine. His Excellency Ambassador of Ukraine expressed his sincere gratitude to his colleagues from the Baltic States for their honest and consistent support.
