Lithuania and China sign agreement on recognising academic qualifications
Lithuania's Education and Science Minister Dainius Pavalkis and China's Deputy Education Minister Li Weihong signed an agreement on bilateral recognition of academic qualifications. The agreement was signed at the 5th Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (ASEM ME5) which is being held on 27-28 April in Riga, Latvia.
According to Pavalkis, the agreement is highly important for cooperation between Lithuanian and Chinese science and education institutions. It will promote academic exchange programmes, enhance cooperation in the area of education and science as well as contribute to further development of bilateral relations in various areas.
The meeting between representatives of Lithuania and China also addressed other relevant bilateral cooperation issues.
On 27-28 April, participants of ASEM ME5 discuss about result-driven cooperation. The objective of the meeting is to ensure a future-oriented dialogue and exchange the best practice as well as promote concrete cooperation activities in the regions of Asia and Europe.
