Lithuania Participates in China’s International Trade in Services Exhibition

On May 28th – June 1st Lithuanian delegates from the Agency of Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) as well as delegates from Lithuanian Universities took part in China Beijing International Fair Trade in Services (CIFTIS) exhibition.

Lithuanian delegates presented the biggest research and innovation services, infrastructure and competence network “Open R&D Lithuania”.

Vilnius University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Kaunas University of Technology introduced its current ongoing researches and services for business and science.

On May 31st seminar that took place at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania had a delegate from MITA Ričardas Valančiauskas who presented research services for business in Lithuania and invited everyone to use this opportunity. Delegates from Kaunas University of Technology introduced their research on sustainable development and food technology; delegates from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University presented the research of smart city; delegates from Vilnius University introduced Laser Research Center and the Center for Life Sciences. 

The Ambassador of Lithuania emphasized the importance of Lithuanian competence and openness when co-operating with China’s business and science institutions.

“Participation in this event was a great opportunity to introduce Lithuania’s science potential for China’s market. Biotechnology and physics, as well as the increase of qualifications in medicine area, received a big interest. We hope that these contacts will give a base for future collaboration that will benefit both sides.” – spoke Vilnius University Science and Innovation director Vida Lapinskaitė.
