LITHUANIA SECOND MOST ATTRACTIVE FOREIGN INVESTMENT MARKET IN EUROPE
BPI, compiled by Foreign Policy magazine, shows the most attractive markets for foreign investors. The index takes account of how much an asset's value grows, the preservation of that value while the asset is owned, and the ease of bringing home the proceeds from selling the asset.
Lithuania, which ranked high in the index, is catching up with the emerging East Asian tigers and shows better results than China, USA, Ireland, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Estonia (12th) is the only country in Europe that was ranked higher than Lithuania. Besides these two countries, Poland and Bulgaria were the only European countries to make it to the top 20 in the BPI.
Foreign Policy rated Hong Kong, Botswana, Taiwan, Singapore and Rwanda as the most attractive countries for foreign investors.
