Lithuanian Ambassador presents her letters of credence to President of Vietnam
On 9 November, the Ambassador of Lithuania to China Ina Marčiulionytė presented her letters of credence to the President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang.
During the conversation, the Lithuanian Ambassador welcomed Vietnam’s economic progress and expressed her aspiration to promote political, economic and cultural cooperation. Besides many other potential areas for cooperation, the interlocutors identified trade in food products, information technology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and equipment industry. The EU-Vietnam free trade agreement, which is to be signed in the short run, would create very favourable conditions for mutual trade.
During the visit, Marčiulionytė will also meet with the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, tourism companies, Vietnamese and Lithuanian businessmen.
Marčiulionytė is the fourth Ambassador of Lithuania to Vietnam. The Embassy in China represents Lithuania in Vietnam, South Korea, Mongolia, Thailand and Myanmar. This year, Tran Vu Hoai was appointed as the first Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Vietnam.
