Lithuanian Embassy unbeaten at the charity sales ‘Love Knows No Borders’
For the fifth time the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania participates at the international charity fair ‘Love Knows No Borders’, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. Lithuanian amber jewelry again attracted crowds of admirers. On the amber wave Lithuanian Embassy has been leading for several years in terms of raised money. Mrs Le Amei, the founder of this event and the wife of the State Councilor Yang Jiechi, personally expressed her gratitude to the Embassy of Lithuania for its significant contribution to the development of charity. In co-operation with ‘China Charity Foundation’, the project ‘Love Knows No Borders’ has been organized for the 6th year in a row. All money raised will be put towards surgeries for children with the congenital heart disease in Guizhou province. Exclusive products, national dishes, traditional crafts and art have been presented by more than 100 embassies and international organizations during the fair. According to preliminary information, the charity has raised more than RMB 2 million (around 1 million Litas) at the fair this year.
