Lithuanian film „When you wake up“ in francophonie festival
Ričardas Marcinkus film „When you wake up“ (2014) will be screened at the francophonie film festival in Beijing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Shanghai.
The singer called Punk is no longer of much interest to anyone. After his brush with fame, it only took a few years of drugs and alcohol to reach rock bottom. After yet another small town concert, Punk ends up spending the night backstage, drunk and alone. When he opens his eyes in the morning, he sees a little girl, who introduces herself as his daughter. Two lost souls set out on a trip together - a trip which will not only change their lives, but will also bring them together to appreciate the joy it brings.
The purpose of the francophonie festival, which is initiated by the Embassies of member and observing governments of the OIF with Chinese partners, is to depict the mark that 'francophone' culture of the world. Large scale performances, concerts, meet-and-greets, exhibits, conferences and workshops will be planned all throughout the month of March, reminding us to share, exchange and appreciate cultural diversity.
Lithuania has already presented Arūnas Matelis film „Before Flying to Earth” and Dovilė Gasiūnaitė film „Narcissus” in the previous francophonie festivals.
