Lithuanian science and innovation potential presented in Beijing
Lithuanian delegates from the Agency of Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA), Vilnius University, Kaunas University of Technology and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University had the unique opportunity to take part in the China Beijing International Fair For Trade In Services (CIFTIS), where Lithuanian research and innovation potential and services, provided by the institutions joining „Open R&D Lithuania“ network will be presented in the joint Lithuanian exhibition stand „Open R&D Lithuania“.
"China's economy makes a huge impact on the industry and business, so it is very useful to develop close cooperation between Lithuania and China in science and innovation areas. Lithuanian science can offer a variety of services to the Chinese industry to make high-level research by using modern equipment. We hope that the exhibition presents our country's business and science developed technologies, innovative solutions will interest the Chinese market and we will receive various orders", - says Kestutis Šetkus, Director of MITA.
On 31‘st of May during the CIFTIS Fair Lithuania has an opportunity to organise specialized Forum aimed to introduce Lithuanian Research and development services to Chinese business society. as well as researchers.
In the Forum of Chinese and other foreign businesses will contain detailed information about in Lithuania acting „Open R&D Lithuania“ network, which brings together generating the R&D results and providing R&D services institutions, which is equipped with the most modern equipment and advanced technologies. There will be presented open access range of services, introduction to the Lithuanian scientific achievements in lasers, food, life sciences and smart urban areas. Interest in the Forum has now been expressed about 100 different foreign firms. During the forum Lithuanian Ambassador to China Ina Marciulionyte will say a welcome speech. The Forum will be moderated by Arunas Karlonas, Lithuanian commercial attaché in China.
