LONDON OLYMPIC GAMES FINISHED WITH THE LITHUANIAN ANTHEM!
Lithuanian National Anthem was the last Anthem played at the London Olympics as the last gold medal was presented to the Lithuanian Laura ASADAUSKAITE (Women's Modern Pentathlon)! London Olympics was the most successful for Lithuania since regaining the Independence in 1990: Lithuanian sportsmen were awarded with 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. The results gave Lithuania 34th place among all the countries participated in the Olympics (or 8th if to count the number of medals per 1000 of country inhabitants). Lithuanian Medals go to: GOLD: Ms. Ruta MEILUTYTE - Women's 100 m Breaststroke; Ms. Laura ASADAUSKAITE - Women's Modern Pentathlon. SILVER: Mr. Jevgenij SHUKLIN - Canoe Sprint (Men's Canoe Single (C1) 200 m). BRONZE: Mr. Aleksandr KAZAKEVIC - Wrestling (Men's 74 kg Greco-Roman); Mr. Evaldas PETRAUSKAS - Boxing (Men's Light 60 kg).
