OPEN DAY AT THE EMBASSY - JUNE 13TH, 3 PM
The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Beijing is planning to hold an Open Day event on June 13th, Thursday, starting from 3 p.m.
The coming second half of year 2013 will be the period of the historic significance for Lithuania – starting from July 1st, 2013 Lithuania will be holding a rotating Presidency of the European Union Council. It will be the first time for Lithuania, member of the European Union since 2004, to serve as a Presidency country of the whole European Union.
Chairing the Union of 28 European countries is the big honour and responsibility, which Lithuania is proud and ready to take.
The Embassy of Lithuania in Beijing is pleased to invite our friends – both teachers and students – from different organizations, universities, associations to visit the Embassy and to learn more about Lithuania, it’s culture, traditions, language, etc. and discuss the developing friendly bilateral relations between Lithuania and China. The visitors will have a possibility to meet the Ambassador and all the diplomats of the Embassy.
In addition, during the visit to the Embassy the guests will be offered to watch the documentary film introducing Lithuania, they will also have the lesson of the basics of the Lithuanian language, which is the oldest living language in Europe. Everyone will also be invited to try their luck in the basketball shot competition! The best Lithuanian learners and best basketball players will be awarded with the Lithuanian souvenirs.
