PHOTO ALBUM "LOCAL CHARMS OF LITHUANIA" PUBLISHED IN CHINA
On July 2nd, 2014, professional Chinese photographer Duan Tiejun was greeted by Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Lithuania Ms. Lina Zukauskaite in the Lithuanian Embassy in Beijing to present the photo album "Local Charms of Lithuania”. This album is an impressive photographic journey in Lithuania, presenting the beauty of its nature and architecture, unique charm of Lithuanian folk traditions and the portraits of Lithuanian people. Album by Mr. Duan Tiejun is the first photographic album of Lithuania published in China. Mr. Duan Tiejun is the Vice President of Chinese Folklore Photographers Association, Executive Chairman of Tianjin Binhai New Area Photographers Association, Chief Editor of “Tianjin Binhai” photography magazine. Mr. Duan was accompanied by Lithuanian photographer Vytautas Daraskevicius, who attended World Folklore Photography Contest awards’ ceremony in Beijing and was honored for the photographic work in the themes of crafts and rituals. Awards were also presented to two other Lithuanian photographers - Vetre Antanaviciute and Edgaras Vaicikevicius. During the visit to the Embassy Mr. Duan Tiejun and Mr. Vytautas Daraskevicius shared their plans of further cooperation between Lithuanian and Chinese photographers, including the exchange visits and a joint photo album of Lithuania.
