THE BOYS‘ AND YOUTH CHOIR FROM LITHUANIA – THE FIRST PRIZE WINNER AT THE CHINA INTERNATIONAL CHORUS FESTIVAL 2014
The Boys‘ and Youth Choir DAGILELIS from Lithuania was awarded the First Prize in the category of the Youth Chorus‘ at the 12th China International Chorus Festival, which took place in Beijing from July 29th to August 4th, 2014. Choir DAGILELIS also received the special prize of Peace and Friendship. Lithuanian Choir was also selected to perform the first song at the Grand Opening Concert of the Festival at the prestigious Great People‘s Hall. DAGILELIS‘ solo concert took place at Minzu Theatre on August 2nd and was extremely well received by the Chinese audience. China International Chorus Festival is the only state-level international chorus festival in China. This year more than 130 choirs from different countries around the world came to Beijing to celebrate the culture of choir singing, to make new friends and to promote cultural exchanges between the countries.
