WORLD BANK RECOGNIZES LITHUANIA AS A RICH COUNTRY

The World Bank has reclassified Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Chile and Uruguay as countries that rank as "high income" in terms of GDP per capita (over USD 12.616).

In the past, these countries were in the "upper middle income" category (USD 4.086-12.615).

Lithuania's GDP per capita is USD 13.9 thousand, Latvia – USD 14.2 thousand and Estonia – 15.8 thousand.

Monaco is in the first place, followed by Lichtenstein, Bermudas, Norway and Switzerland.

The World Bank revises this list every year.
